So I guess my BB isn't that cool, I cant blog from it...
SOOOOO....Oct. 13-14 I went to M.E.P.S. I was told I would know my
job, and the date I leave within 2-8 weeks. Since the first whole week doesn't count, Oct 19 would be week one; therefore, my countdown started Nov. 2. The end of 8 weeks happened to be Christmas Day. So now I just get to continue to wait. Also, since I'm so awesome, my recruiter made me DEP Commander! I'm not exactly sure what is entialed, but I have the title!!
And on another note, I got a laptop-FINALLY! To the right is a quick pic of Lily and I just hangin' out.

JAY-OH-BEE
That's right, it spells JOB. The thing I've been looking for... I just somehow happened to stumble upon two of them today. And the story begins......
Well, a couple months ago (August-ish) I was in Clovis with cousin Patty looking for a job. I applied at numerous places, yet had no luck. I was hoping for a job at Red Robin since I already have experience from when I worked at RR in Tennessee. No calls or anything, so I went back to Bakersfield to try my luck there. Well, it wasn't so great and I've been jobless ever since (besides the NOR volleyball coaching, but I don't count that).
A new Forever 21 store is opening up in the mall this month, so my friend Blake and I went to the open interviews today to see if we could snatch a job. We both went through the process and he was asked to come back at 2 pm- I wasn't :( But I was NOT going to take no for an answer! I went back at 2 with him and somehow ended up getting a job. The only downer is that MANDATORY orientation is on Tues, Nov. 17 @ 10 am. I will not be in town because I committed to being a medical shadow at Camp KEEP Nov. 16-20. I explained that to the people hosting the open interviews and they pretty much gave me a big fat, that sucks. The manager said I could re-apply when I returned from KEEP. This totally bummed me out, I just BS'd my way into this job, and now I'm not even going to be able to do it.... Anyway, so Blake and I leave the mall and go to my last volleyball practice (which got cancelled due to rain-yay!). Right as we were about to leave I got a phone call. It was Red Robin from Clovis. I had put in an app months ago and followed up for a couple weeks before I gave up on them. The guy, Richard, told me he wanted to set up an interview. I explained I would be gone the following week for Camp KEEP, so he set up an interview for Nov. 23 @ 2 pm. I'm really excited considering RR is where I wanted a job in the first place.
The only problem with this whole mess is:
1.) I really want the Forever 21 job since it's in Bakersfield and I wouldn't have to leave my friends...and parents.
2.) I CANT have the job at Forever 21 because I committed to being a medical shadow at Camp KEEP months ago.
3.) I don't want my parents mad at me for wanting the RR job in Clovis.
4.) There shouldn't be any problems...I JUST NEED A JOB!
Besides all of that, I have DEP Commander Call Saturday @ 9 am and my last volleyball game at 12:30. Then all next week I'll be at Camp KEEP!

FAN.FREAKIN.TASTIC.
1.) October 19 @ 11:30..
1. Already missed my curfew.
2. Heading out to a friends house with Blake.
3. GOT PULLED OVER!!
Yes, yes. I blog about it now, more than 2 weeks later because I JUST told my parents about it..must have slipped my mind. Now I sit and wait for the notice to come in the mail informing me of ticket price and court date. So much for not getting in trouble!!
2.) No updates with Air Force, i'm still waiting for my call to tell me when I leavce and what my job will be. I just need to get in shape in stead of sitting on my lazy butt doing nothing all day! Anyone want to be my workout partner?! :)
3.) Also, I am STILL unemployed. I just put in a job application at Big 5 Sporting Goods and Target. Hopefully I can get a job at one of those places!

Air Force Updates!
SO... where to start!
Tuesday Oct. 13-
I had to show up at my recruiters office at 10:30 am. I waited with another guy from Air Force for the shuttle to take us to MEPS for about an hour. When the shuttle arrived, we got on with a couple others from Army and Navy. We then had to drive to Pasedena, then Mojave and FINALLY made our way to LA. The guy that my recruiter sent me with was SO FINE! I texted my recruiter telling her that he was "so fine" and she replied "go on with your bad self." HA! We stayed at the Raddisson hotel right next to LAX. We got there around 2:30 pm, but couldn't check in until 4:00. We sat around until we could check in then went up to our rooms for an hour or so before dinner. My roommate for the night was an older woman who was joining the Army. She was 37, married and has 4 children. Dinner was a buffet style with some chicken and pasta salad, the goods. I ate and went back up to my room (by this time i was already exhausted!) I started to fall asleep around 730, but figured it was too early so i went downstairs to get an ice cream from the gift shop. I went to bed around 9.
Wednesday Oct. 14-
YAY for waking up at 3 am!!! I woke up, showered got dressed and was down stairs by 3:45 am. I checked out, ate breakfast and went to catch the first shuttle to MEPS. While out front waiting, I made a new friend :) She just moved to Bakersfield so we exchanged numbers and I told her I'd show her around. We got on the first shuttle at about 4:30 and made our way to the new MEPS location. This building was just recently built about 2 months ago. We went in, put our things away and checked in with our counselors. I got a name tag and headed up stairs for my full medical examination. I had a briefing, got my blood drawn, had a hearing test, vision test (which i failed my depth perception test!!!!) and then had a full body examination complete with flexibility tests and a pee test! I was done with all that by about 9:45 am. I had already been up for almost 7 hours!! Then came along a lot of sitting and waiting for the other people to get done. I swore in at around 3 pm then spent about 2 more hours waiting for everyone from our shuttle to complete their processing. We got back on the shuttle and did the whole driving route over again. I got back in town pretty late, but my recruiter had Subway waiting for Tyler and myself so that was AWESOME.
All in all the process took FOREVER, but it was worth it because now it's official. I am in the U.S Air Force!! I just have to wait patiently for the next 2-8 weeks to get a call telling me when I leave and what my job is! I'm so excited!!
Oh, and I have to be on my best behavior- no run ins with the cops, no tickets..NO TROUBLE :)
I'm not worried, now I just have to get in SHAPE!!!!
ps Patty, i found 125, and i think 120 is right around the corner!

Air Force, here I come!
I know it's been quite some time since I updated my blog, so I figured now would be a great time to! I've been sick the last couple days with a head cold followed by a nasty cough, so I haven't done much; however, that's not the case for the last couple months. I have been constantly debating college vs. U.S Air Force and trying to decide what I'm going to do with my life!! It wasn't an easy decision and even though my family and friends were there for me, the choice between the two was ultimately up to me. I knew I'd love whichever I chose, but when it all came down to it my decision resided with the Air Force.
I have been to the recruiter's office plenty of times to talk and find out as much as I could about enlisting. My friend Breanna Foley was also joining and left at the end of August, so I had an idea of the process since she was already going through it. Now it's my turn to take the first steps towards enlisting.
Today I went in for my 1:00 appointment with Sgt. Jackson to start the whole process- step one: Fill out the USAF Background Application. After I complete this, I have to take it into my recruiter Monday at 8:30 sharp! She is planning to send me to MEPS (Military Entrance Processing Station) Tuesday and Wednesday, October 13/14. Despite how stressful this whole thing is, I am really excited to get it started!!

It's a start! Sort of...
I swear I'm going to buy a mac JUST for photo booth. BEST THING EVER!! (As you can see with my lovely snapshots)
Welp, I dont really know where to begin with this whole thing, and I'd like to tell you my life story. However, considering it's 3:15 in the A.M., I'm going to leave that mess for a different day!
Yay for Bass Lake tomorrow, well today...in a couple hours.
I need to get in bed...NOW!
