Air Force Updates!

SO... where to start!
Tuesday Oct. 13-
I had to show up at my recruiters office at 10:30 am. I waited with another guy from Air Force for the shuttle to take us to MEPS for about an hour. When the shuttle arrived, we got on with a couple others from Army and Navy. We then had to drive to Pasedena, then Mojave and FINALLY made our way to LA. The guy that my recruiter sent me with was SO FINE! I texted my recruiter telling her that he was "so fine" and she replied "go on with your bad self." HA! We stayed at the Raddisson hotel right next to LAX. We got there around 2:30 pm, but couldn't check in until 4:00. We sat around until we could check in then went up to our rooms for an hour or so before dinner. My roommate for the night was an older woman who was joining the Army. She was 37, married and has 4 children. Dinner was a buffet style with some chicken and pasta salad, the goods. I ate and went back up to my room (by this time i was already exhausted!) I started to fall asleep around 730, but figured it was too early so i went downstairs to get an ice cream from the gift shop. I went to bed around 9.
Wednesday Oct. 14-
YAY for waking up at 3 am!!! I woke up, showered got dressed and was down stairs by 3:45 am. I checked out, ate breakfast and went to catch the first shuttle to MEPS. While out front waiting, I made a new friend :) She just moved to Bakersfield so we exchanged numbers and I told her I'd show her around. We got on the first shuttle at about 4:30 and made our way to the new MEPS location. This building was just recently built about 2 months ago. We went in, put our things away and checked in with our counselors. I got a name tag and headed up stairs for my full medical examination. I had a briefing, got my blood drawn, had a hearing test, vision test (which i failed my depth perception test!!!!) and then had a full body examination complete with flexibility tests and a pee test! I was done with all that by about 9:45 am. I had already been up for almost 7 hours!! Then came along a lot of sitting and waiting for the other people to get done. I swore in at around 3 pm then spent about 2 more hours waiting for everyone from our shuttle to complete their processing. We got back on the shuttle and did the whole driving route over again. I got back in town pretty late, but my recruiter had Subway waiting for Tyler and myself so that was AWESOME.

All in all the process took FOREVER, but it was worth it because now it's official. I am in the U.S Air Force!! I just have to wait patiently for the next 2-8 weeks to get a call telling me when I leave and what my job is! I'm so excited!!

Oh, and I have to be on my best behavior- no run ins with the cops, no tickets..NO TROUBLE :)
I'm not worried, now I just have to get in SHAPE!!!!

ps Patty, i found 125, and i think 120 is right around the corner!
